Lonza is establishing a strategic bio manufacturing base in China using GE Healthcare Solutions. With the new facility, Lonza is responding to growing demand for a high-quality CDMO in the Chinese market. You will be supporting the LPB Segment with business case preparations, investment controlling, and other ad-hoc activities. You are separated from the day to day controlling activities in order to ensure adequate and non-cycle constraint support to the project teams. You will report to Finance Director, Guangzhou Site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Business partnering with the operation and key stakeholders in site to drive and achieve the planned operational and financial outcome
  • Responsible for standard cost maintenance, review monthly, yearly cost rollout for manufacturing etc.
  • To provide analysis and reports on standard costs and production variances
  • Involved into investment projects and provides required financial information as IRR, DCF and monitor after approval the spending
  • Support monthly outlook & annual target preparation
  • To lead annual year-end inventory count and inventory analyzes and monitors
  • To coordinate with local BSO team to ensure accurate and timely closing process
  • To liaise with both internal and external auditors on costing related matters.

  • Proficiency in costing experience in manufacturing operation or project management
  • Good understanding of multiple finance areas ( Costing, controlling, planning etc.)
  • Understanding of China tax practice like VAT, City construction fee, levy etc.
  • Proficient use of SAP as ERP system and familiar with BW
  • Analytical skills, Familiar with Microsoft office software
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to be able to present business case to management and work with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
