For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as Lab IT Specialist.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform User Access Management and User Access Control processes according to applicable SOP’s for laboratory applications and workstations

  • Perform triage and 1st level support for laboratory applications and workstations

  • Support routine deployment and maintenance of engineered solutions (hardware, software, and other components)

  • Perform assigned work in a manner consistent with cGMP requirements, applicable SOP’s, and industry best practices

  • Perform assigned work in a manner consistent with relevant safety policies and regulations

  • Perform other Request and Incident management duties as required

Key requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a similar field.  A degree in Life Science, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science is also acceptable with evidence of practical experience in a technology field

  • Some experience in the technology, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry

  • Knowledge of core IT concepts and skills including operating systems, access control, file and folder permissions, networking, triage and troubleshooting etc.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to follow written procedures
