Our Maintenance Engineer’s primary responsibility is to lead the implementation of all the Extraordinary Maintenance actions for the year and the Reliability actions identified by the Reliability Team. Other focus of the role is to support ongoing operations at O Porriño site, through technical assistance to support investigation and resolution of problems when necessary.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible to implement the Extraordinary Maintenance actions on safety, quality and timely manner.

  • Responsible to implement the Maintenance actions that imply installation modifications (mainly Corrective Actions).

  • Support the Reliability Team in implementing the LAMP actions that fall within Maintenance budget.

  • Responsible to prepare the yearly Extraordinary Maintenance budget.

  • Actively collaborate with other areas and departments of Porriño (Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, Program Management, etc ...), to resolve quality and production issues (deviations, near misses).

  • Provide Maintenance SME support during audits

  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance/engineering role in the biotech industry

  • Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated ability of the theories and principles of engineering and maintenance across all disciplines is required.

  • Demonstrated technical and interpersonal skills.

  • Reliable team player and able to work with multiple departments at different level of the organization (Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, …)

  • High energy, excellent internal and external communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving ability, troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of GMPs, GDP & GEP principles and requirements.
