QC Scientist- Biochemistry

We are currently looking for a QC Scientist- Biochemistry to join our Centre of Excellence for biopharmaceutical process development and small-scale GMP manufacturing in Slough, UK.

The QC Scientist- Biochemistry will provide technical support within the Biochemistry teams ensuring flawless execution of work, whilst ensuring compliance with GMP, Regulatory, and Global and Site requirements.

You will also assist in quality records (deviations, CAPAs, investigations, change controls), protocols, reports, and SOPs in the department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct biochemical testing and review assays for release, stability, validation, method transfer and qualification studies against standard operating procedures, protocols and GMP
  • Critically assess all results and report any observations or concerns to QC management in a timely manner
  • Identify, assess and implement assay/process improvement projects
  • Train staff to reinforce best practice.  Generate and improve training packages
  • Lead and assist with the completion of quality records and EHS actions. Perform appropriate investigations, impact and risk assessments
  • Participate in the introduction of new methods/validation of methods on new technologies
  • Support customer and regulatory audits as required

What we need you to have:

  • BSc in Biochemistry or similar subject.
  • Hands on experience within Quality Control.
  • Experienced working to GMP standards
  • Hands on experience with ELISA an advantage.
  • Experience performing analysis, technical and quality review of assays, audit trail reviews, contributes to quality records (deviations, investigations, CAPAs and CCs), offers training in area of expertise
