Director, Head of Program Management will direct and motivate the Site Program Management Team creating a trusting environment in which everyone shares the same vision of working towards defined Program Management (PM) Team objectives in line with Site and Company common goals. He/She will represent the PM team at the Site Leadership Team level, sponsoring good relationships and collaboration with other departments by providing full transparency of information. Responsible to balance the allocation of programs/portfolios among the team securing a life work balance. Overall responsible for the site PM metrics and adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure individual and team development is a constant, ongoing focus, not restricted to key review milestones. Including sponsorship of external development offers (if applicable)

  • Bring clear awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the Program Management team internally and externally

  • Allocate Program Management resources to new projects upon contract signature and handover from Proposals/Commercial Development

  • Responsible for flawless coordination of site portfolio execution

  • Act as a core member of the Site Leadership Team

  • Act as nominated member for Program Management on customer Joint Steering Committees and Executive Steering Committees

  • Lead by example in cultivating positive, collaborative working relationships with Commercial Development, Business Development, Sales, Proposals and Account Management where possible

  • Understand the Financials of the Site Portfolio of projects, including target and outlook generation and review

  • Ensure on time and accurate reporting of all required PM data and KPI´s

  • Ensure the site PM’s adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including data integrity excellence in Planview.

Key requirements:

  • Substantial working experience as a  Program or Project Manager in the Life Sciences, Contract Development, Pharmaceutical industry with late phase experience

  • Extensive Experience in a GMP Regulated, Pharmaceutical, or Environmental industry.

  • Financial acumen managing large portfolios

  • Strong leadership

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, or Masters degree or equivalent with Business, Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry

  • Project Management Certification Preferred (PMP)
