For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as Scientist Particle Characterization.
Carry out analytical studies using the available Forensic Chemistry technologies (e.g., but not limited to: FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, Micro CT, SEM/ EDX) to support the needs of Lonza's customers and Operation Sites
Support analytical studies for sub-visible particles characterization using technologies such as Light Obscuration, Micro-Flow Imaging, Coulter Counter, Nano Tracking Analysis, Resonant Mass Measurements
Contribute to design and qualification of visual inspection training kits
Contribute to innovation and technical projects, evaluate and implement new technologies
Maintain instruments in alignment with current best practices and regulations
A degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
some experience as Scientist the pharmaceutical or chemical industry, with strong focus on spectroscopy and imaging techniques
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent ability to interpret complex analytical data
Excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of written and spoken English, German is a plus
