For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as Scientist Trace Analysis / Structure Elucidation in our Forensic Chemistry team.
Execute, develop and establish analytical methods and technologies for trace analysis / structure elucidation laboratory studies
Support other functions in Forensic Chemistry such as but not limited to surfactant analytics, protein characterization, subvisible / visible particle analyses and extractables / leachables
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, follow lab and safety instructions and adhere to safety and health protection
Evaluate and implement new methods and technologies, as required
Participate in and contribute to innovation, technical strategy projects and scientific publications
University degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
Alternatively, education as a laboratory scientist / training on the job as analytical lab technician
Work experience as research or technical assistant / laboratory scientist in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry with focus on analytics
Good working knowledge in relevant analytical techniques
Experience in reporting, interpretation and documentation of complex analytical data
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
Experience in trace analytical methodologies (e.g. GC-MS, LC-UV-MS) is an asset
