This newly created role within the Global Transport team gives the opportunity to design and own from scratch the future transportation ways of working.

The position is strategic with a cross-divisional responsibility to appropriately design governance and process alignment across more than 30 sites globally.

This position will play a key role in defining future strategic initiatives and be a part of the Logistics Center of Excellence which supports the delivery of the strategy with digitalization and automation at the core.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for introducing and driving excellence within the area of transport operations, globally

  • Detailed mapping and understanding of the current processes, ways of working and how these processes interlock with other business functions

  • Overall accountability for designing the future Transportation processes accommodating standardization, Divisional focus and interlocking business functions

  • Overall ownership of the transport systems as well as functionality within the scope of processes and use of SAP

Key requirements:

  • High level of Transport Operations and Customs knowledge

  • High level of expertise regarding SAP transport modules

  • High level of process understanding within transport and other supporting functions such as finance

  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with the ability to influence others

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong process mapping and reengineering skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define meaningful metrics and to identify issues through root cause analysis

  • Competent using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and Business Warehouse to extract data and generate reporting
