Scientific Support Specialist

We currently have an opening that is also open to students who would like to do an internship at Lonza. With your strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation and excellent technical knowledge you will be able to generate long-term customer loyalty and satisfaction. The role is a 6 Months temporary Contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • As a scientific support specialist, you provide customers and field personnel with information and support regarding all aspects of Lonza Research Solution products and technologies, troubleshoot product performance issues and escalate potential product quality events.

  • This support is mainly by telephone and email, which you will log into the Customer Management System.

  • As a team member of an international team, you take part and contribute to our Scientific Support meetings and help to maximize our level of customer support.

  • You support the input in our databases with addition of new citations and FAQs and help to maintain the digital tools.

  • To collect customer feedback to assist in the development of business and marketing plans is also part of the responsibilities.

  • Other duties, like supporting marketing campaigns through office activities,  may be assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences with a strong background in cell culture, general working knowledge of transfection

  • Business fluent in English and German

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and strong problem solving skills

  • Customer contact experience  is a plus

  • Working knowledge of MS Office
