In this role, you will develop and lead new product implementation projects within Lonza’s microbial network. New customer processes are required to be fit into existing manufacturing assets with finding optimal set-up between manufacturing throughput and simplicity of facility fit. Once the efficient set-up for the new implementation has been worked-out the engineering project has to be established and led through the different phases. The project team is normally assembled with delegates from Operations/MSAT/QA/Engineering & Qualification. The incumbent of this role should be a project management driven character with the ability to pay attention to details in the field, e.g. scheduling and leading of detailed work in a highly automated environment.

Organize Process Simulation (Time & Motion) studies with internal or external support
With results from studies establish the optimal set-up for the new process
Optimal Set-ups have to be found with respect to low batch cycle and changeover times vs. CAPEX and schedule requirements (shut-downs).
