The site in Visp is growing and for Ibex™ Solutions, our recently launched unique biological manufacturing and development concept in Visp, Switzerland, we are currently looking for a Group Leader Cell Banking IBEX, is responsible for the management of the Cell Banking Lab Group in Ibex™ in Visp. He/she will lead a team of scientific and technical experts and will be responsible for the successful development and optimization of Cell Banking production, Cell bank characterization and Cell bank storage for Ibex™. Additionally, he/she will be accountable for the performance and results of the assigned area including cost control. The Group Leader Cell Banking Ibex™ will be a member of the Production Leadership Team.

Manages a team of scientific, technical experts and technicians within Ibex™ Cell Banking Lab with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
Responsible for setting up the Cell Banking Lab in Ibex™
Ensures a good information exchange from the upper management levels to his/her team and the other way around through regularly team meetings and escalation of issues.
Implements the Lonza culture via openness for change and new ideas, cooperative teamwork and continuous improvement even outside the own area of responsibility
Coordinates the various projects in his/her assigned group
Ensures that the group deliver high quality services to customers within the agreed timelines.
Working as a lead in the Capital investment project for building and commissioning of the Cell Banking Lab and infrastructure
As end user main driver for the operational and equipment set-up in coordination with other Lonza sites.
Qualifications and skills required
Bachelor / Master degree. Preferred area of study: Biology, Biochemistry; Biotechnology, or related disciplines
More than 8 years of experience in the area of biopharma analytics and / or analytical development preferable in the area of Mammalian Cell culture
Expert in the area of Large molecule QC and analytical method development. Deep understanding of protein biochemistry, good understanding of business and financial processes
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication skills in speaking, writing and presenting often at higher levels (German & English)
