Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is growing in leaps and bounds and we are the Premier Chemical Manufacturer in the Atlanta Metro Area, located just minutes off of I-285. As a Maintenance Supervisor for Lonza, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the maintenance department. You will plan, schedule and assign work for the day and use your expert knowledge of systems and equipment to provide recommendations and solutions to prevent or solve problems.  The Maintenance Supervisor starts and finishes the day for the Maintenance Technicians and reviews the performance and completion of their work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, available equipment, and personnel skill

  • Monitor employees’ work competencies and review work performance

  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment

  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use

  • Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results

  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical College or Journeyman/USMAPS Programs

  • 8+ years of maintenance experience; USAF or USN Technical/Engineering MOS/Rating acceptable
