Senior Manager, QC Release

The QC Senior Manager will provide a safe, controlled work environment in all areas of responsibility while being aware of the site safety objectives and making sure these are frontline leads to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organizations. Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

Acts as business partner representing Quality Control for assigned asset ensuring alignment across the site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical support includes but is not limited to investigational support, special project support, method troubleshooting and data analysis.
  • Management support of employees for first, second, and third shift.
  • Working within teams and across the department to support various GMP laboratory testing as needed.
  • Functional area oversight including Analytical, Immunology, In-Process, Biochemistry Nights and QC Raw Materials functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of in-process and final product or raw material testing.
  • Oversees indirectly 60-80 people.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organizations. Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

Key requirements:

  • BS or MS  in associated Life Sciences or Significant years of industry experience.
  • Understanding of QC release testing and knowledge of various analytical equipment
  • Understanding of GMP/Regulatory guidances and requirements
  • Experience with LIMS systems, Trackwise, Empower
