For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as IT Lab System Specialist Drug Product Services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Help establish and maintain laboratory computer systems, infrastructure and services for Drug Product Services

  • Drive data integrity and efficiency by promoting best practices for result reporting thorough automated result transfer to LIMS and iLAB

  • Develop interfaces between instruments and data storage locations and visualization of data for deeper analysis

  • Create and execute validation activities, like CSV for various laboratory systems in DPS in close alignment with current best practices and regulations

  • First level support and application administration for defined DPS lab systems

  • Stay in line with the current Data Integrity and Quality guidelines of Lonza

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computer Sciences or related or a training on the job as analytical lab technician or IT expert

  • Laboratory experience, preferably as a research/ technical assistant or IT expert responsible for laboratory systems in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry

  • Working knowledge laboratory management systems, CVS and data integrity  

  • Good IT and documentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
