We are currently looking for a Global Head of MSAT - Technical Transfer & Processes. In this role, you will have a high level of responsibility and visibility improving and globally aligning current approaches on Tech Transfer and operational processes with organizational strategy and ambitions. For this position, we are looking for a very well structured out of the box thinker to lead our global tech transfer program. The purpose of this role is to continuously develop and implement best in industry tech transfer disciplines across Lonza’s Pharma and Biotech network. The incumbent will collaborate with global and site stakeholders to identify, define and implement opportunities for improved tech transfer procedures, tools and processes. The role includes tight collaboration with Operational Technology / Digitalization to ensure related digitalization & automation for efficiency and error prove systems. You will lead and develop a team with strong technical and leadership capabilities that is able to navigate and lead in a matrix organization as well as to represent Lonza to customers and authorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Further develop Lonza’s tech transfer program, define and lead related work streams which address harmonization and efficiency for right first time tech transfers

  • Provide leadership to a matrix organization, also ensuring good information exchange between upper management and the team

  • Ensure a culture of mutual accountability and full collaboration with customers and diverse Lonza sites as well as departments for effective implementation and sustainable endorsement of standards

  • Implement a vision as service provider in this organization providing hands-on support as well as visionary roadmaps for future opportunities

Key requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent with substantial experience in pharmaceutical industry

  • Interested to dive into new technologies, automation, digitalization

  • Ability to work strategically, hands-on and collaboratively across departments

  • Proven, excellent leadership and communication skills and experienced in working in a matrix organization

  • Six Sigma / Lean management background
