Project Control Manager

The site in Visp, Switzerland is growing and we are currently looking for a Project Control Manager. The Project Control Manager will report to the Platform Head Small Molecules / Drug Substance. You will be responsible for providing leadership for effective Project Control at Program Level and be accountable for ensuring Lonza’s guideline for project control are duly implemented across all Small Molecules projects. You ensure timely and complete project reporting and develop trend analysis and forecasts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring that accurate  cost estimates, schedules, and project reporting are implemented for the SM/DS program in a timely fashion

  • Supervise and mentor all Project Control teams to ensure the desired level of control is in place

  • Ensure that estimate process for new capital investment is properly done and proper class estimate is defined according to construction standards

  • Responsible for regular risk assessments on cost and schedule

  • Ensure that large capital project are duly monitored and reported timely

Key requirements:

  • Degree in architecture, engineering or related field or significant years of related work experience is required

  • Extensive experience in capital project engineering or project management.

  • Demonstrated experience and success with planning and executing large capital projects

  • Effective contacts with professional organizations to facilitate benchmarking

  • Strong communication skills to present to and educate various levels of divisional leadership and personnel

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to influence consistent project management practices across Lonza

  • At least conversational German level
