Handle all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related aspects for the Sterile Drug Product Manufacturing site Stein
Maintain a good safety culture and zero safety incidents and act as single point of contact for authorities, customers and other Lonza sites
Responsible for emergency planning (concepts, fire department, health, contact for emergency forces and services, clarification team, reporting accidents and incidents)
Primary customer contact for EHS audits and questionnaires, REACH certifications, supply safety, business continuity management
Coordinate and execute weekly safety inspections, internal audits, and CAPA management
In charge of containment strategy and control of dealing with high potent or hazardous substances
Establish work health risk assessments to support production
Coordination of safety and EHS related trainings as well as personal safety equipment for employees and visitors
Contact person for exchange with the Biosafety officer in order to comply with the internal requirements for BSL2 in production
University education or equivalent and training as safety engineer EKAS (SUVA) or comparable
Substantial experience in a EHS related position, preferably in in a pharma or biotech company
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with as well as high expertise of Adobe Acrobat-Pro and SAP
Ability to identify creative commercial, workable solutions
Strong and effective team player in matrix organizations across sites
Proven communication and organizational skills in a scientific and technical environment
Experience in working with a multi-national team
Fluency in German and English
