To reinforce our Global Communications team, LSI is looking for a Communications Manager, Media Relations and Branding in our headquarter in Basel, Switzerland or in Blackley, United Kingdom.

Key responsibilities:

Media Relations

  • Builds media strategy and implements consistent relations to proactively position the new company in the chemical sector

  • Leads issues management and supports crisis

  • Participates in building LSI crisis communications capabilities


  • Supports planning and drives launch of the new company brand

  • Develops branding guidelines and further develops over time

  • Ensures brand conformity and support, and develops and implements brand trainings

Other activities

  • Supports the construction of the new internet and ensures overall coordination

  • Drives content for the corporate section, in alignment with company narrative

  • Leads or contributes to various projects, predominantly in relation with the change of ownership and set up of the new Communications structure

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communication

  • Significant experience in a global corporate team or agency, including operational track record in media relations and branding

  • Acumen for digital communication

  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills in both English and German; curiosity, desire to learn and the ability to translate complex subjects into accessible, compelling content

  • Industry work experience in specialty chemicals or related industries a plus

  • Excellent people skills/natural networker

  • Ability to prioritizing work, coordinating diverse and complex daily activities, while maintaining sense of detail for each project or publication

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
