Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is looking for a Program and Project Manager to support the Morristown US based headquarters. The role is responsible for ensuring disciplined project management governance for the Americas region. Establish policies and governance in all aspects of the innovation process to drive excellence through a defined framework by which we work. Drive the regional pipeline acting as project portfolio manager, responsible for planning, monitoring and executing to defined project scope, ensuring cost, timing and quality objectives are met. Responsible for the delivery of all project management trainings in the region.
Design, coordinate and deliver integrated project management (IPM) goals in support of strategic and tactical directions as defined by the organization.
Work with designated project leads to provide expert project planning and project execution utilizing project management software. Responsible to audit project execution and change control and regular reporting.
Serve as designated Project Manager and ensure project / project portfolio execution, project tasks are set, assigned, and timelines met.
Ensure that innovation processes feed seamlessly into SFDC and Challenger sales processes.
Coordinate and join Steering Committees / Stage gate review meetings / Project review meetings in the region.
Monitors and ensure high quality data in IPM for the innovation projects and ensure clear project team accountability.
Establish KPIs in order to drive project pipeline continuous improvement initiating corrective actions where appropriate.
Foster ideation discussions to feed regional pipeline with regional needs and/or other regions developments.
Provide regular status reporting to Portfolio Managers and Senior Management regarding both individual projects and project clusters. Ensure timely identification and communication of project gaps.
Develop and deploy trainings to ensure organization is up to date with Innovation process and tools
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science required or Master's degree in Business or Science preferred
5 - 10 years of experience in Project Management
Expert in the Project Management process with certain experience in R&D and/or Marketing required
Culturally sensitive having had a wide-ranging career with global reach. and a thought-partner, not afraid to challenge the status quo
