Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is looking for Associate Director, Master Data who will be responsible for developing and leading the LSI global master data organization. It is accountable for setting and implementing the master data strategy across all master domains in all systems, BU’s, functions and sites. Additionally responsible to develop and grow all stake holders in their understanding and use of master data; i.e. develop direct and also indirect reports in shared service centers or other transactional centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity for all domains in scope; i.e. governance program as outlined above is set up and regular review steps executed. Globally share best practice across BU’s, regions & functions, ensure knowledge transfer across all domains.

  • Defines and further develops Master Data Management strategy & harmonized concepts and implementation plan.

  • Manages a team of 9 direct reports.

  • Governance and Domain ownership is set in place.

  • MD Data Model & critical fields are defined.

  • System based process are setup to capture requests.

  • Organization and data specialists are defined.

  • Authorization roles defined and available; SOD-conflicts eliminated.

  • Data Life cycle management, regular consistency checks, cleansing campaigns and Intern Controls are performed.

  • Acts as Business Partner and fosters collaboration; i.e. consults on Master Data questions, supports Global Projects. Contributes to the Data Model Design & Data Alignment Process.

Key Requirements:

  • MS in Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain, Finance or IT required

  • 5 years in international business environment, with high focus on target duties

  • SAP ERP & BW systems as well as VBA & Power BI is required

  • Business processes, specifically O2C, S2P, R2R and A2D

  • Understand general ISO & GMP quality requirements as well as other compliance requirements (SOD, safety, foreign trade, transportation, fraud control, ..)

  • Fluent in English and German, both oral and in reading and writing (mandatory). Reading / writing in Spanish, Portuguese, French, is an additional asset
