Laboratory IT System Specialist accountable to build new and/or deploy existing IT / OT solutions to be used by GMP Quality Control and R&D Lab environments. Act as  IT Business Partner for Lab Systems embedded into the global IT team. Responsible to secure project execution in adherence to Lonza standards and policies. Provide IT support for complex incidents and problems (3rd level support).

Key responsibilities:

  • Review user requirements, consult internal stakeholders in terms of IT / OT solutions, take responsibility as project manager

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, process integration, development and authorization partners to deliver requested standard and or custom IT / OT solutions

  • Transfer new solutions and related knowhow to the support organization

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Lonza custom IT / OT solutions

  • Contribute to the resolution of critical / urgent incidents

Key requirements:

  • Good knowledge of QC and R&D systems such as ELN, LIMS, LES, and CDS

  • Experience with IDBS EWB preferred

  • Knowledge of laboratory business processes, instrumentation, and laboratory automation

  • System configuration and/or customization knowhow

  • Comprehensive understanding of the business processes and concepts being used
