The Instrumentation Engineer will play a valuable player to our calibration program system and will act as system owner. This individual will be responsible for the development of the calibration program, instrument selection, development of instrument decision limits and alarms, evaluation and management of calibration standards, job plan development and monitor instrumentation reliability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the calibration program.

  • Evaluation of site instrumentation decision limits and alarms.

  • Maintains and supports instrument master calibration list.

  • Subject matter expert on all site instrumentation.

  • Provides expertise on new instrument selection process.

  • Manage and evaluate the site calibration standards.

  • Responsible for the CAPA's, deviations and change controls related to instruments.

  • Develop Instrumentation SOP's and Job Plans

  • Provides training and technical coaching to facilities and engineering technicians on the calibration best practices.

  • Maintains calibration program KPI’s.

  • Support instrument failures on calls.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Electrical, or Computer Engineering

  • Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry background preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills.

  • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy.
