Reporting to the Biologics Quality Head, the Head of Project Management QC Biologics leads the whole Business Unit at the site in Visp, Switzerland.  

As Visp Biopharma currently undergoes unprecedented growth, main priorities for the coming years will be to further grow and strengthen the QC Biologics department by hiring and further developing talents. Moving into brand new laboratories offers the opportunity to improve processes, realize synergies and strongly improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability for Project Management within the QC department (QC-Biologics), including accountability to meet delivery and cost targets.

  • Ensuring compliance to applicable regulations in line with the Quality unit.

  • Assures adequate staffing in the department (knowledge, skills, resources).

  • Manages and coaches Managers with supervised staff, including definition of targets, review and management of staff performance as well as definition of standards for people management executed by direct reports.

  • Actively contributes to the further development of overall QC strategy and to efficiency increase programs.

Key requirements:

  • Masters Degree or preferably PhD Degree in science, engineering or related discipline

  • Extensive experience in a regulated pharmaceutical quality control and analytical development.

  • Proven leadership skills by managing larger teams.

  • Proven leadership skills  and effective use of hard and soft skills in all aspects of management including conflict resolution, team building, decision making etc.

  • A performance management mindset, setting high performance standards, leading by example and holding others accountable.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
