Due to the growth at our site in Visp, we are currently looking for a Senior Scientific Specialist Master Cell Banking Process. In this role, you will manage the Master Cell Banking (MCB) process of the Microbial Development Services unit with respect to regulatory compliance. With your in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape you will evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on the current microbial MCB process. You will plan the necessary adjustments together with the subject matter experts of MCB and the quality units.
Improvement of the MCB documentation (method and characterization SOPs, characterization records, generic validation and verification procedures for existing methods, including hands-on support)
Implementation/ support for implementation of diverse new or improved systems within cell banking, wherever applicable (e.g. for possible transfer from paper to digital documentation of diverse activities)
Continuous improvement of the MCB process as a result of the changing regulatory environment. Anticipation, evaluation and implementation of technical innovations and trends.
MCB interface to the IBEX MCB unit and the quality units
Technical expertise and consulting on regulatory questions and decisions within MCB and the Microbial Development Services unit
PhD or MSc and relevant industry/academic experience in biochemistry, microbiology or equivalent
Substantial experience in the area of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and testing for microbiological processes as well as regulatory/GMP compliance
Strong developed communication skills, ability to negotiate and present within the organization, with regulatory agencies and customers
Pro-actively seeking process improvements, with very good scientific/technology network in the field
Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude
Excellent communication and writing skills in English and/or German
