We are looking for a Sample Co-ordinator to join our Site laboratory services team at our Manufacturing site in Slough, UK.

This role is a 18 month FTC and will be working shifts 11:30am – 7:30pm, Monday – Thursday with alternating Saturday or Sunday every other week.

The successful candidate will proactively manage and co-ordinate the receipt, storage, inventory, shipping, disposal and life cycle of Critical Reagents, samples and manufacturing batch material.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage receipt of samples, correctly log and store samples, and complete and file sample receipt documentation.
  • Inventory storage management for critical reagents, in process samples, manufacturing batches and controlled material.
  • Coordination of shipments of Critical Reagents, material and samples with delivery to the shipping department.
  • Aliquoting and registration of Critical Reagents
  • Coordination of distribution, stock issuing and reconciliation with all Slough site buildings.
  • Co-ordination of critical reagent disposal / shipping to customer.
  • Maintenance of the cold storage facilities where material is stored, liaising with the Equipment Specialist for annual service and requalification activities.
  • Assisting the sample co-ordination team to implement improved and consistent sample management services to all departments and buildings.
  • Maintaining the highest standards in the workplace to include Safety, GMP Compliance, LSO adherence, iComply, housekeeping and inspection readiness

Key requirements:

  • Experience working within a laboratory environment possibly in a sample coordinator role
  • Understanding of laboratory support functions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement
  • Able to clearly communicate tasks, expected delivery standards and longer-term goals.
