For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as Associate Director Commercial Development, Drug Product Services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand DPS business by optimizing project portfolio, sold margin, and applying innovative business models and approaches to the customer

  • Assist the Sales and Business Development teams with technical and operational queries, exploring extensions to our standard service offerings, supporting customer discussion and contract negotiations including alignment with other business units

  • Define creative business cases and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities

  • Actively contribute to the development of the business unit strategy and manage agreed commercial strategic plans to deliver planned business growth goals

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape through harnessing competitive and market intelligence input with operational capability to identify and target market growth opportunities

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Biological Sciences/Chemistry/Engineering or a Business Degree with relevant Life Science Industry experience

  • Extensive commercial Business-to-Business knowledge, preferably in the (Bio-) Pharmaceutical/CMO industry

  • Work experience in customer interaction, preferably in (technical) sales or project management

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
