For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as Senior Principal Scientist Formulation Development.
Represent drug product services as formulation development subject matter expert and member of the non-platform molecule innovation team
Provide detailed development goals and milestones in collaboration with other team members
Identify business process and technical gaps as well as ways to bridge those to ensure achievement of defined goals
Collaborate with innovation team to design blue print for new business processes as well as technical tool box for drug product development
Ensuring new processes and technologies are scalable, cost-effective and market competitive
Manage and execute formulation development tasks for non-platform molecules applying new processes to support customer projects
Train and coach drug product services colleagues on new processes and technologies as well as communicate new development processes
Support provision of competitive proposals and creation of marketing content
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in formulation development of non-platform biologics as well as CMC strategy, industry issues/trends and pharmacopeia
Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields
Significant work experience in biotech / pharma industry
Experience with technical issues and requirements for development of drug product formulation and/or processes of biologics
Knowledge of lyophilization, primary packaging, aseptic product manufacture (protein or vaccine drug products and/or protein analytics is desirable)
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal as well as planning skills
Fluent English (written and oral)
