Senior Fill/Finish Technician

This position is a fill/finish position in liquid media drum filling area. This will consist of prepping, filling, and finishing drum media products and requires consistently lifting of up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Ability to understand and document on GMP paperwork

Key responsibilities:

  • Performs environmental monitoring
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Operate Filling & Finishing machinery
  • Read and print using Documentum
  • Rack various types of vials
  • Monitors calibration of equipment
  • Inspect, pack and perform final product screening of finished goods
  • Performs production line clearance
  • Stack pallets
  • Transfer items in and out of the Media Cleanroom
  • Maintains clean and orderly area. Completes general housekeeping duties.
  • Prepare materials to be sterilized
  • Set-up filling assemblies in class 100 area
  • Operate Media floor scrubber
  • Pick-up production labels from label control
  • Pick-up production paperwork from document central
  • Perform cleaning of the Media Clean Room
  • Operate pallet jacks
  • Deliver samples to the QC Department

Key requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, engineering or related field is preferred
  • Working manufacturing or technical skills are required
  • Questioning attitude to drive problem solving
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively to share learning and provide training to manufacturing
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high workload environment.
  • Must be able to read and follow defined SOPs and policies, work independently and as part of a team on various manufacturing tasks, identify and communicate non-routine events.
  • Must be proactive, action oriented, and have the ability to adapt to a change. 
  • Must have strong communication skills both verbally and written. 
  • Must be able to support other members of the team through mentoring and training.
