Project Engineering Manager

This position is based in our Walkersville, MD facility and is responsible for the execution of assigned capital and non-capital projects. This includes design review, scope, budget, and timeline development. Accountable for safety, procurement, project staffing, as well as, commissioning, start-up, execution and managing validation interfacing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepares and monitors project budgets timelines to ensure execution occurs according to plan.
  • Develops and supports a project management team
  • Conducts project feasibility and concept studies to ensure proposed projects meet intended goals.  
  • Ensure design installation, operation and operating procedures are in compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Capable of delivering defined project objectives.
  • May supervise design and /or construction phases of projects up to $25MM.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on new and/or updated changes and equipment design. In addition, ensure all standards (drawings, pipe specs, P&ID’s, etc.) are current and up to date as part of project close out documentation.
  • Develops and supports a project management team
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Project Management experience
  • cGMP manufacturing experience
  • Experience with aseptic filling methods and techniques
  • Written and oral communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team oriented and a strong work ethic.
  • Microsoft Office, organization skills, record keeping and the ability to handle multiple assignments
