LSI is looking for  a Sr Manager, MPO who will oversee and manage the development and implementation of process improvements, baseline production support and raw material qualifications. The role is responsible and accountable for the technical innovation activities to provide sustained year-over-year delivered value in the form of new sales, usage/yield improvements and PPV cost reductions. The individual has a scientific background combined with strong project and team leader skills. He/she is responsible for the evaluation, implementation and execution of the improvement projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical evaluation, process design and implementation of improvement projects, working with Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain to monitor completion of critical activities on-time and in-full and manage projects through critical milestones in the stage gate process. Ensure all projects are appropriately resourced, have clearly defined objectives and timelines and report to management regularly. Act as project lead as needed. Critically evaluate current processes for efficiency and effectiveness and propose and implement improvements as appropriate.

  • Supervise and manage the activities of a team of 1-3 technical associates with an emphasis of on-time delivery of technical projects against agreed action standards, growing the technical expertise of the overall team. Ensure the labs operate in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Represents the team in site staff and global team meetings. Participate in business meetings were required to support growth and strategic decisions.

  • Anticipate, evaluate and implement trends and innovations in the area of expertise to deliver better performing solutions. Provide input to decisions for implementation of new technologies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • BS Degree Required in Chemical Engineering.

  • 10+ years of experience in the Chemical Industry preferred

  • Strong background in chemical engineering and the associated disciplines (chemistry, process engineering) and deep understanding of the underlying principles.

  • Sound problem solving skills in the field of own discipline, developed communication skills to exchange complex information; team player; written and oral communication in English and local language

  • Entrepreneurial, reliable, flexible, convincing, can handle uncertainty, able to withstand stress, accurate, strong customer focus
