LSI is looking for a Business Manager for the expanding Crop Protection business in USA and requires an experienced Business Manager to help recruit and lead a dedicated team to drive the business. He/she will have demonstrable results-orientated success in the management of Crop Protection business in the US which will be applied to fulfill Lonza’s goals and sales objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead a dedicated team for Crop Protection business in USA, comprising product development, regulatory, marketing and sales activities, with full commercial responsibility.

  • Build up Lonza’s Crop Protection business in USA based on a portfolio of current and expected crop protection products.

  • Leading the regional budget process; prepares annual budget and establishes and monitors sales objectives and initiates appropriate corrective actions.

  • Identifies and evaluates trends in market needs to define and develop future strategic business opportunities.

  • Ensures excellent communication and cooperation with global organisation and other regions in global and cross-regional projects.

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships to stakeholders and relevant trade organisations to support and grow the business.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Key requirements:

  • BS in Agronomy, Agriculture or related area; MBA or similar an advantage required

  • Minimum 10 years in Crop Protection business, including commercial and management responsibility

  • Broad agro knowledge and commercial experience in Crop Protection; proven track record of successfully driving business; US experience essential – international experience advantageous

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; entrepreneurial spirit; excellent oral and written communication abilities; proficient in MS Office

  • Flexible and dynamic approach to accomplish goals: strong self-motivation and ability to inspire others, solid team-building approach.
