Order Change Technician 1

This position is responsible for the order changes on hard capsule machines (HCMs) and various other equipment such as Unified, Unisor, ILD, iBox etc as well as assisting to get equipment back into production. This position will follow all plant policies and safety guidelines at Lonza.


Key responsibilities:

  • Assists with the order change (or dish wash) for the HCM, Unisor, ILD-iBox, and/or Unified Responsible for preparation of supplies and equipment for order change.
  • Perform HCM breakdown and cleaning.
  • Perform thorough inspections of equipment for foreign capsules.
  • Must be able to perform all tasks associated with an order change.
  • Perform breakdown and cleaning of other various types of production equipment.
  • Collect scrap Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
  • Perform paper wash and enter data in SharePoint Perform gel inventory Initiate order change if OCT II is not available to start.
  • Prepare/setup for order changes occurring in the first hour of the next shift.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, etc.
  • Must be able to work additional hours/days as business needs dictate.
  • Attendance in the plant site is considered an essential function

Key requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Must score 100 or below on the Color Test
  • Must have passing scores on all required Work Keys and Bennett Mechanical Testing
  • Lift objects up to 50 lbs
  • Good verbal communication skills and teamwork
  • Basic computer/software knowledge
  • Demonstrated logistical thinking and troubleshooting ability
