If so, then Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) might be the right place for you! We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer for our Conley, GA chemical manufacturing site. The primary focus of this position is to determine the reliability of components, equipment and processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all reliability processes and recommend required standardized procedures and equipment and provide support to all engineering programs.

  • Develop programs to increase equipment Uptime and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.

  • Design all product specifications and monitor all product issues and perform root causes analysis on all process.

  • Research, design, or specify mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.

  • Develop and maintain all reliability plans and perform tests on same and recommend improvement processes to various engineering projects and participate in various external forums to maintain quality of all projects.

  • Prepare, present and explain proposals, reports, cost estimates and findings to key stakeholders.

  • Commission, monitor, evaluate, or inspect the installation of systems for compliance with design. Accommodate, adapt and introduce changes to the design as required.

  • Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.

  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering.

  • Minimum of 3-7 years experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.

  • Recent Reliability Engineering experience.

  • Experience with rotating equipment such as pumps or agitators, etc.

  • SAP skills required.

  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.
