Lonza Invites Visitors to Make More Possible™ at Hi-Fi Asia-China 2019 with Science-Backed Ingredients and Cutting-Edge Dosage Form Innovations

Shanghai (CN), 18 June 2019 – Lonza will showcase its latest science-backed ingredients and innovative delivery and dosage form solutions designed to Make More Possible™ at this year’s Hi-Fi Asia-China in Shanghai (CN). At booth 41F45 Lonza’s Consumer Health & Nutrition team will display its integrated capabilities and expanding portfolio of products to support a range of consumer health needs, including healthy aging, immunity, sports nutrition and pet nutrition.

Lonza will also participate in the show’s Discovery Tours as a sports nutrition solutions provider. The team will also highlight its leading innovations for the active and performance nutrition market in the International Sports Nutrition Industry Insights seminar at the show, led by the Health Products Association (HPA).

Science-backed solutions

Backed by more than 30 years of experience and 45 clinical trials, Lonza’s Carnipure® L-Carnitine brand will be on display at the booth. Already well established within the sports nutrition market, the Carnipure® L-Carnitine ingredient also offers benefits in a range of other high-growth market segments including male fertility, prenatal nutrition and energy and weight management. In addition, Lonza will present innovative product concepts to support pet nutrition, including its patented Carniking® L-Carnitine ingredient for active dogs and working animals.

Also on display will be Lonza’s proprietary ResistAid® ingredient for immune support. This unique ingredient is extracted from North American Larch Trees using a steam-only process and offers year-round immune benefits. The ResistAid® ingredient will also be showcased in the New Product Zone within the show’s Innovation & Content Hub, after being voted by the organizers as one of the most innovative ingredients in the beverage space.

Clean-label dosage forms

As the clean-label trend continues to gather pace in Asia, attendees are invited to discover how Lonza’s range of dosage form technologies can support clean-label positioning. Lonza’s premium Vcaps® Plus vegetarian capsules are made from Hypromellose (HPMC) and water only, and they support manufacturers looking to deliver a clean-label, vegetarian supplement offering.

Furthermore, finished product concepts at the booth will highlight dosage form solutions that enable customers to meet key consumer trends in healthy aging, sports nutrition and beauty from within. Lonza’s Licaps® liquid-filled hard capsules, increasingly popular in the US, Western Europe and Japan for instance, deliver functional improvements in bioavailability enhancement, taste and odor masking, while also facilitating combination product development and timed release profiles. Also featured at the show will be Lonza’s innovative DUOCAP® capsule-in-capsule technology for combination or dual release products in liquid or beadlets form.
