  • Introduction

    Quality Products for Water Quality
    Controlling aquatic plant growth can be difficult because often the plant needs to be identified properly to treat correctly. Applied Biochemists offers a variety of herbicides which vary in plant controlled, active ingredient, use sites, formulation, application rate, water use restrictions, dilution requirements, permit requirements and product registration/availability. Be sure to comply with all government regulations for use. Always refer to product labels and MSDS for information about specific products. Always read product label prior to use.   • Harvester®

    Landscape & Aquatic Herbicide controls submersed, floating and emergent aquatic weeds including duckweed as well as broadleaf and grassy weeds.  A surfactant is necessary when using this product with any weed on or above the water surface including landscape applications.  Water use is restricted for irrigation and drinking (animal or human), see label for details.  Active ingredient is 37.3% diquat dibromide.  Application rate for submersed weeds varies by density between 0.125 and 0.5 gallons per acre-ft of vegetation.

  • Harpoon® Granular

    Aquatic Herbicide sinks down to effectively control bottom-growing copper sensitive aquatic species. Treat from the bottom up! Has no general water use restrictions at label rates. Active ingredient is 9.87% copper-ethylenediamine complex. Application rate varies by species and density between 40 and 80 pounds per acre-ft.

  • Navigate®

    Selective Herbicide is formulated to control water milfoil, water stargrass, bladderwort, white and yellow water lily, water shield, water chestnut and coontail.  Water use is restricted for non-turf irrigation and drinking (human consumption), see label for details.  Active ingredient is 27.6% butoxyethyl ester of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.  Application rate varies by target plant, density, and water depth, see label for details.

  • Navitrol®

    Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is used to control unwanted woody plants; aquatic plants; and annual perennial broadleaf weeds. Active ingredient is 44.4% triclopyr. Application rate is between 0.25 to 3 gallons per acre depending on plant species, season and density. Also available in a dry formulation.

  • Navitrol® DPF

    Aquatic Herbicide is a systemic herbicide for controlling broadleaf plants. Water use restricted for irrigation and drinking (human consumption), see label for details.  Active ingredient is 14.0% Triclopyr: 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinyloxyacetic acid, triethylamine salt. Application rate varies by plant type between 0.50 and 2.5 ppm a.e. triclopyr.

  • Shore-Klear®

    Aquatic Herbicide effectively controls many herbaceous and woody plants. A surfactant is necessary when using this product.  (This product will not control plants that are completely submerged or have a majority of foliage under water.)  Has no general water use restrictions at label rates.  Active ingredient is 53.8%  glyphosate.  With hand-held equipment, application should be made on a spray-to-wet basis. Product must be diluted prior to use.

  • Shoreklear-Plus®

    Aquatic Herbicide effectively controls many herbaceous and woody plants. (This product will not control plants that are completely submerged or have a majority of foliage under water.)  Has no general water use restrictions at label rates.  Active ingredient is 18.0% glyphosate.  A non-ionic surfactant is mixed in with this product. With hand-held equipment, application should be made on a spray-to-wet basis. (Do not apply more than the maximum dosage of 3.3 gallons of product per surface acre in any single broadcast treatment over water.) Product must be diluted prior to use.

  • Harpoon®

    Aquatic Herbicide controls hydrilla, naiads, coontail, elodea, water lettuce, water hyacinth, giant salvinia and other species that have a sensitivity to copper absorption.  Has no general water use restrictions at label rates.  Active ingredient is 24.0%  copper-ethylenediamine complex (8% metallic copper equivalent).  Application rate varies by species and density between 1.7 and 3.3 gallons per acre-ft.  Product must be diluted prior to use.

  • Weedtrine® D

    Aquatic Herbicide controls submersed, floating and emergent weeds including duckweed.  A surfactant is necessary when using this product with any weed on or above the water surface.  Water use is restricted for irrigation, drinking (animal or human) and swimming, see label for details.  Active ingredient is 8.53% diquat dibromide.  Application rate for submersed weeds is 5 - 10 gallons per surface acre of vegetation.  Product must be diluted prior to use.
