We are constantly developing and improving programs and software for the Nucleofector™ I and II Devices. New programs can be easily added to your Nucleofector™ Device using a software chipcard. By inserting the chipcard into the chipcard slot the update starts automatically and is finished in just one minute. You can request a chipcard for free via the form in the left navigation of this page. As soon as new programs are available all customers will be informed immediately.
Nucleofector™ II or IIS Device
Do I own a Nucleofector™ II or IIS? If you are not sure about the device version of your Nucleofector™ II please check the rear panel and firmware version of your device (see descriptions below). To view the current firmware and program software version of your Nucleofector™ II or IIS, turn on the Nucleofector™ by using the power button. If the Nucleofector™ II Device starts in the »Free Program Choice« mode, exit this mode by pressing the »X« button. Press the functional button »menu« several times until »Software Versions« appears. The first set of digits encodes the firmware version. The third (Nucleofector™ II: S3-x) or second set of digits (Nucleofector™ IIS: S4-x) encodes the program software version.
If your Nucleofector™ II has an older program software version please order the respective chipcard (see link in the left navigation) and refer to the upgrade instructions for Nucleofector™ II.

Nucleofector™ I Device
For checking your current program software version switch on the device and watch the second number presented on the display.
If this number is lower than the current number, you can order the respective chipcard (see link in the left navigation) and update the programs according to the upgrade instructions for the Nucleofector™ I.
