The 4D-Nucleofector™ System can handle four different Nucleocuvette™ Vessels all using our innovative conductive polymer electrode material.

 

For Nucleofection™ in suspension (X Unit):

 


100 µl Nucleocuvette™ Vessels:
These cuvettes hold 100 µl of cell suspension and are perfectly suited for medium to high cell numbers (105 to 107).


16-well Nucleocuvette™ Strips: 
This vessel allows convenient transfection of up to 16 samples in parallel. The volume of 20 µl per cavity is designed for low to medium cell numbers (104 to 105). 

 

 

For Nucleofection™ in adherence (Y Unit):

 4D-Nucleofector Dipping Electrode

 

 

 

24-well Dipping electrodes: For transfection, an array of 24 dipping electrodes is inserted into a 24-well culture plate containing the adherent cells. For more details please see our adherent Nucleofection™ page.

 

 

 
Same Protocols for Various Cell Numbers

The use of conductive polymer for all our Nucleofection™ Vessels allows seamless transfer of protocols from 20 µl Nucleocuvette™ Strips to 100 µl Nucleocuvettes™ and vice versa. Thus no tedious re-optimization is required. You can simply use the same conditions for both volumes.


Simplified Kit Concept for Primary Cells

Due to the unique characteristics of our conductive polymer material we were able to streamline our kit concept for primary cells. For the 4D-Nucleofector™ System only five different Primary Cell Nucleofector™ Kits are required to cover a broad range of primary cell transfection challenges.
