| Publication regarding changes in voting rights according to Art. 21 SESTA |
Lonza Group Ltd, Muenchensteinerstrasse 38, 4002 Basel, announces that it has been informed by The Capital Group Companies, Inc., 333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, Ca 90071-1406, USA, on 9 June 2006 that it exceeded the threshold of 5% and that it now holds 5,24% of the voting rights in terms of 2,642,806 registered shares of a nominal value of CHF 1.-.
