Media Releases Financial Reports Presen-tations 03/22/2006       Annual General Meeting of Lonza Group Ltd on 22 March 2006 Today’s Annual General Meeting of Lonza Group Ltd led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rolf Soiron, was attended by 300 shareholders. They represented 39,5% of the sharecapital. The Shareholders carried all motions proposed by the Board of Directors. A dividend of CHF 1.30 per share will be paid out on 28 March 2006. Rolf Soiron, Peter Kalantzis, Peter Wilden and Sir Richard Sykes were all elected for a further term in office of one year. Dame Julia Higgins and Gerhard Mayr were newly elected to the Board of Directors. Dame Julia Higgins is currently the Director of the Graduate School of Engineering and Physical Sciences and a Professor of Polymer Science at the Imperial College in Lon-don. Gerhard Mayr currently holds memberships on the Boards of Directors of UCB SA (Brussels), OMV AG (Vienna) and the Bank Austria-Creditanstalt AG (Vienna).
