| Lonza confirms long-term agreement with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) and growth
strategy

Regarding the recent announcement from Bristol-Myers Squibb, Lonza and Bristol-Myers Squibb confirm the current long-term agreement for the large-scale production plant in Portsmouth, NH as unchanged. Lonza confirms also the growth strategy published in January 2005.
