A Long History of Excellence

Lonza‘s experience in microbial fermentation began in 1983 wtih R&D activities in our Visp, Switzerland facility.  We were developing industrial enzymes, biotransformation technologies and other fermented ingredients for the growing market.  Our strong foundation in microbial technology naturally led Lonza to enter the Microbial Biopharmaceutical business, where we have positioned ourselves as a world-class manufacturing partner for over 30 years. We have successfully delivered  almost every conceivable type of microbial parenteral API.  Our existing customers repeatedly return to Lonza because they know they can rely on us to deliver.

Over time our experience and knowledge base has grown.  We understand that the nature of drug development can be very dynamic and we have become nimble enough to adjust our project plans to work wth you as your needs may change.
